Tradicionalna fešta - Bokeljska noć
Boka’s night is a manifestation which gathers tens of thousands of visitors each year, after which the town of Kotor became well known beyond the borders of Montenegro for its creativity and the spirit of the citizens of Kotor. It is a kind of masquerade of imaginatively decorated boats that cruise along the Bay of Kotor decorated with lights, followed by a variety of lighting effects. During Boka’s Night people from Bay of Kotor decorate small boats and participate in a procession hoping to win the first prize for the most creative and beautiful boat. After the best participants have been chosen, celebration continues in the streets of the Old town, followed by firework.
Several Boka’s Nights are to remember. In 1938 it was attended by English King Edward and the English fleet. On that day whole fleet of the great Yugoslav Navy took part in Boka’s Night.
